Cove Lights
WAC Cove Lighting is very effective for lighting rooms with high ceilings or for emphasizing decorative ceilings. They provide a soft, diffuse ambient light that may need to be supplemented by luminaries in other parts of the room.
The most common lamps in these luminaries are linear fluorescent or compact fluorescent, though sometimes incandescent or cold-cathode lamps are used.
For architectural coves, the ends of fluorescent lamps should overlap so that the light is distributed evenly and to avoid dark spots called "socket shadows."If two rows of linear fluorescent lamps are used, the ends should be staggered.
Highly reflective adjustable extrude aluminum reflector transforms raw lamp lumens into a wall formed asymmetric light distribution with a wide "throw" ideal for "washing" architectural surfaces from room perimeters. End results reveal broad, glare-free evenly luminous surfaces.
